Flonidan

Loratadine, the active substance of Flonidan, belongs to the group of antihistamines.

In allergic reactions, various substances (mediators) are released, which cause the symptoms of allergic reactions.

Histamine is one of the most important mediators in allergic reactions.

Flonidan inhibits the action of histamine, therefore it has a strong antiallergic effect.

Flonidan relieves the symptoms caused by histamine that is released during allergic reactions: itching, redness, swelling and nasal secretions.

The onset of effect is within 20 minutes after ingestion. The effect lasts for approximately 24 hours.

Flonidan tablets and oral suspension are used to treat:

edema and allergic internal irritation of the nose, caused by allergic rhinitis (seasonal) and allergy to house dust (permanent);chronic spotted and itchy rash on the skin (urticaria).
