NALGESIN S

Nalgesin S relieves pain and inflammation and reduces fever in:

  • pain in muscles, joints and spine,
  • prevention and relief of migraine,
  • menstrual cramps
  • muscle and joint pain associated with colds and flu,
  • infections as an adjunct to treatment, to relieve pain, inflammation and fever.
  • headache and toothache

How to take Nalgesin S?

  • Adults and children 12 years and older - The usual dose is 1 tablet every 8 to 12 hours as long as symptoms persist; this means a maximum of 3 tablets per day. The initial dose can be doubled, the tablets can be taken at the same time or at one hour intervals.
  • The use of Nalgesin S in children aged 2 to 12 years is not recommended and is not suitable for self-medication.
  • Nalgesin S should not be taken by children under 2 years of age.
  • If you are over 65, take 1 tablet every 12 hours as needed, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
  • Caution should be exercised in patients with hepatic impairment or renal impairment.

If you take more Nalgesin S then you should

Overdose can cause abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, tinnitus, irritability and in severe cases, vomiting of blood (hematemesis), blood in the stool (melena), disturbances of consciousness, respiratory distress, convulsions and kidney failure.

If you forget to take Nalgesin S

Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten tablet. Take Nalgesin S only as needed.

If you stop taking Nalgesin S

Because naproxen sodium is used to relieve short-term pain, you can stop using it as soon as you no longer need it.

Do not take Nalgesin S:

  • if you are allergic to naproxen sodium or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6),
  • if you are hypersensitive to acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and have had difficulty breathing (bronchial asthma), urticaria (urticaria) or inflamed nasal mucosa (rhinitis) after their use
  • if you have an active, bleeding, or recurrent stomach or duodenal ulcer associated with previous treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, if you have had at least two cases of ulceration or bleeding in the past, or if you have had an intestinal broken wall,
  • if you are being treated with other painkillers (acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs),
  • if you have severe liver or kidney problems,
  • if you have severe heart failure
  • in the third trimester of pregnancy.
