Anti-Phosphatidic Acid IgG

Phosphatidic acid antibodies are almost without exception detected together with cardiolipin and/or phosphatidyl serine antibodies. Their presence is an indicator of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) and is helpful in assessing the risk of thrombosis in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and lupus-like diseases. In addition to purified phosphatidic acid as antigen, the wells of this test are additionally coated with human beta-2-glycoprotein as cofactor.
