Babytol D3 contains vitamin D3, essential for your baby from birth. Vitamin D3 is used preventively from the 8th day of life, in accordance with the European and national pediatric recommendations, for the healthy development of bones and teeth, at a daily dose of 400 IU. The deficiency of vitamin D3 can cause bone fragility, demineralization and brittleness, that is, a disease called rickets. Vitamin D3 is a “sunshine” vitamin. Under the influence of the sun, the inactive form of vitamin D goes into the active form – vitamin D3. For children, one of the key roles of vitamin D3 is that it helps in the absorption of the important bone-building minerals – calcium and phosphorus from the digestive tract, and thus enables normal development and growth of teeth and bones. Due to the harmful effects of the sun’s rays in the summer and less exposure to the sun with sun protection factors, as well as in winter conditions without much sunshine, the recommended daily supplementation of 400 IU of vitamin D3 must be taken.
