DoppelHerz – Magnesium + Calcium + D3

As strong as it is, bone tissue is not a fixed but dynamic structure: old bone tissue is constantly being replaced by a new one. This is achieved through active bone degradation, release of Calcium into the bloodstream, and reabsorption into the newly formed bone matrix.

Several factors can negatively affect circulating calcium levels: unbalanced diets, age, lactation, menopause, glucocorticoid use as well as laxatives. A small amount of Calcium is also excreted naturally in the urine. To compensate for the decrease in Calcium levels in the blood, the bone degrades to release Calcium. This is why a constant supply of Calcium through the diet is essential.

From food to bones, Calcium follows a complex path. Without the help of two vitamins this would not have been possible.

From food into the blood: Calcium is absorbed at the level of the intestines, by a specific transporter which is stimulated by Vitamin D3.

From blood to bone: Circulating calcium moves into the bone matrix from proteins like osteocalcin. This is only possible if osteocalcin is activated through a Vitamin K-dependent reaction.

Calcium, Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K present in Doppelherz Active Calcium + D3 tablets make the ideal combination to achieve the recommended daily doses of Calcium and to ensure an optimal integration of Calcium into the bones.
